Available content covers resources licensed MPG-wide. Resources licensed by the Max Planck Institute are likely to be accessible, too.

Once set up, this is what it looks like – view screenshots.

MPDL Travel Magic is a lightweight, standalone solution that does its best not to interfere with local infrastructure.

Advantages are:

  • No special end user settings.
  • No special ports (Proxy by Hostname).
  • Browser-based access.
  • Support of mobile devices.
  • Authentication via Max Planck Institute.
  • Selected resources proxied (filtered traffic).

The service is based on OCLC’s EZproxy.
